does anybody have a good write up on installing a greddy profec b II boost controller (or similar) in a Z31 turbo ... I have instructions for a general install and have seen some write ups on different types of boost controllers but I liked to be armed with as much info as possible before I start cutting, splicing, and soldering.

It's pretty easy... Just wire up the head unit... install the actuator by the wastegate & run the vacuum tubes... run the wiring harness through the firewall and hook up to the actuator. Cha-ching!

it doesn't look too hard ... on another tangent how much crap do I have to move and how much time does a turbo swap take ... it's a t3/t4 turbo thats made to fit a z31 ... someone said on this forum "it's easy just swap it out connect oil lines and bolt up" I need just a little more info than that ... like is it eaiser to go from bottom or top, special considerations, tools ect. ... I have the haynes and service manual but I always like to be armed with as much info as possible by people who have done the swap themselves.

the idea is simple...the work isnt...bolts are gonna be frozen and crap.... tight spaces minimul work space... besides that all there is hooke to turbos are the manifold and down pipe oil lines and vacume lines for the wastegate... nothin to complicated

you're right though working on a car really isn't that hard, it's all the tight spaces, frozen bolts, and getting to the part that's hard ... I just got that greddy profec b II boost controller in the mail and it's freaking small, it's slightly bigger than a matchbook ... from the pictures it looks as big as a radio head unit
