Hi everyone i just bought a 1986 300zx but how will i nkow if its turbo cuz there are no turbo badges but it has ALL the features.

does the plenum cover (top of motor) say "NISSAN 3000" or "NISSAN TURBO 3000"? if it doesnt say turbo, it is not. all '86s had the spoiler, not just the turbos. i'm guessing that if you have to ask, you dont have a turbo.

You could always look in the engine for a turbo, listen for the turbo, or anything of that nature.

The only special features that differentiate a turbo from a non were the adjustable shocks. Everything else could be the same between models. Oh, a dead give away would be a boost gauge.

The turbo is located on the driver side manifold. If you don't see it, you don't have one.
