Hey guys, I'm new to these forums but I plan on being a consistent member as I'm building a z31 for my daily.

Anyways, I have a 1984 NA 300zx and I want to change the engine at some point but I need to make a decision on what to swap the vg30e with. I know for sure I want an inline6 but other than that I don't know what would be the best one for my car. I plan on keeping it NA forever. If anyone knows what the best i6 for the z31 is please reply along with why. Thanks!

 

Just build up the VG30 to 500 HP. Engine is overbuilt

 

I've definitely considered it, but I've heard from multiple sources that the VG30E becomes pretty fragile when it has to deal with more power. Though I'm not sure how credible those were, so I'm not ruling that out yet
