Adapter for aftermarket steering wheel?

So I'm wanting to get rid of the old steering wheel i have in my '86 turbo now, and I'm just wondering if I am gonna need some type of an adapter to put an aftermarket steering wheel on there... I have heard yes, and i have heard no, i would like for someone to clear this up for me, i am only moments away from ordering it, but don't want to make the purchase if i am unsure..., anyone help me please?

wheel info

yes you will need an adapter, but if you buy the wheel for your car it will come with the adapter or Hub as its called. most wheels have a 5 or 6 holes that you bolt to a hub and then to your steering wheel stalk. Check out motorsport auto they have grant wheels with proper adapters or ebay they have momo hubs and a whole slew of momo wheels... i suggest the momo, my grant is nice and think, but very stiff and uses thin leather.....

Don't forget Nardi/personal wheels as well.

High priced but very nice.

Oh........don't buy a model of a wheel mail order unless you have actually held one in your hands at some point.
