Hi everyone, so I'm wondering if a turbo from a 1983 turbo 280zx would bolt right up to my current setup? I guess what I'm asking is will the charge pipe, turbo exhaust elbow, and oil lines/water lines all bolt up to my z31 with no mods. I already have a turbo z31 I'm just putting a different turbo in my car because it has a hair dryer t25 and I'm sick of how high my intake temp gets do to it blowing warm/hot air into my engine. Thanks for any help guys

It has the same exhaust manifold flange.

No... The 280ZXT uses a J-pipe because the intake and exhaust manifolds are on top of each other.

The 280ZXT T3 doesn't have water (coolant) lines.

Eh? Get an intercooler then.

Okay thanks for that info i appreciate it! I did some research about it myself but i thought i would come here to hear it from a Z driver. Ive thought about the inter-cooler idea but i have a T3 turbo ecu tuned and dialed for the T25 with good results. I like the short time in which the boost builds but if i was gonna get an inter-cooler i would have more HP potential in the T3. So i was thinking the best solution is to get a T3 and make it a match and be done with it.
