Thumbs down For z31 lovers like me

I've used this forum about a thousand times to research z performance with the hopes of finding info on making my n/a break 200 rwhp. Sadly I've learned it is impossible. I didn't listen to most of the threads and therefore I currently find myself with a nice car getting whooped by civics. Point being DON'T BUY A N/a z31 EVER!!!!

Mods consist of headers, test pipe, fidanza flywheel box short shift, tenzo suspension, clsd, and a damn near rebuilt vg30

Uhm, Welcome to ZDriver?

Just an FYI, there will always be someone faster than you... so if you think that owning a Z31T would change you into king of the road, think again.

Enjoy your n/a Z31... and go buy a Z31T if you feel the need. You can never have TOO many cars...

Couldn't agree more. I don't think I'll ever sell this z ;however, I wish I had bought a turbo model instead.. Also do you know anything about the chip they sell from msa. I've been wanting it but I've heard negative things about chips in other cars

It's slightly more complicated than a "chip".

This does look like a pita is it at all worth the trouble? If you know? I've saved loads of money so I'd be willing to try.

you really havnt done anything to the engine to so call make your car more fun. alum flywheel and headers dont make much of a difference on a stock engine. If you had the money and wanted to show people that you can break 200whp with a n/a vg then do it. Then again a great thing about the z31 is how easily its to make it a turbo car. Pretty easy to find a turbo manifold and now a relocation pipe to make things easier. Plenty of write ups on what to do. Then if you wanna fill like your nuts are hanging low throw a v8,rb, or 2jz in her. Great care and its unlimited posibilities on what you can do to her. But like nismo said their will always be someone faster then you. At least your car is rwd

I'm sure you are being beaten on an approved race track and not on the streets.

I'll give you the best advice I've heard from far more experienced race drivers.

The best and most important modification to any car to improve performance and time is between the steering wheel and the driver's seat.

If you want to race a car properly invest time and money in yourself to improve driving skills and performance at speed. Safety too!

Zcars are driver's cars meant to be on the road. they are not dragster's - someone will always have a bigger engine a faster car and an emptier bank account for just that fast straight line drive.
