Will a VG30DETT turbo kit work with my car?

I need to know if that would fit in my 86 NA Z31. I'm working with a brother-in-law, and he insists that it'll fit, but I have my doubts. Thanks to whoever can help.

if you have a torch and a welding outfit and are good at using them.

There's doesn't appear to be anything in the kit that modifies fuel management. With the higher compression of the NA engine, you run the risk of running the engine too lean which could burn it up. If you proceed and get it all to fit and work, I'd setup the turbos to run minimal boost. To really make the investment work right, you are going to need a different ECU, injectors and an upgrade to the fuel pump. IMO, a twin turbo setup is a waste of money on a single cam VG. A single turbo kit will work just as well, a better chance of fitting in the engine bay and cost less money.

With enough cutting, welding and money, it could be made to fit, it has been done before. But as Ken said, it would be much easier, cheaper, and only work as well as a single larger turbo, which would fit in much better.

It has nothing to do with the compression ratio. It has to do with the fuel injector size. They just don't flow enough fuel.

And no. That kit will not bolt onto a Z31's motor.
