Unhappy Where to find a replacement ECU

I have an'86 300zx Turbo Automatic. The ECU has a burnt component and tracing on the board. Sent it to A1 Cardone and they said it can't be rebuilt. Does anyone know where I can purchase a replacement ECU? My understanding is that there are only two that will work with this car. The A18-655M31 and A18-655M35.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Welcome to ZDriver!

It's a shame I sold my 86T ecu about a year ago. Did A1 Cardone send your ecu back? I'd be interested in buying it from you to see what I can do to it.

As for obtaining a working one, post a WTB thread in our classifieds / marketplace, and if you are on Facebook, there are many Datsun / Nissan / Z groups that could quickly source you one.

A1 Cardone is sending the ECU back. If I can find a replacement, yes I'd be interested in selling the faulty one. I'll post back to this thread if that's the case. Thanks a million for your advice! I appreciate it!

I helped a friend work on his 2002 Nissan Frontier 3.3 L, V6, 5 speed manual transmission, 2 wheel driveTruck and found that the ecu was bad. I called Nissan and they said they no longer make these. So I looked around and I found the following company and bought a rebuilt ecu from them that was already programmed. It was a plug and play and worked right away. I would suggest giving them a call and seeing if they can help you. I was very impressed with their help and the ecu has been in his truck since June of 2013 and working well.
After talking to them and sending an email, this is there response back to me.

BTW, the cost was;$475.00 plus $90.00 for programming. My friend decided he would rather spend this amount for a remanufactured unit than take a chance on a used one.
