But the internet is different. People make boasts and claims with no proof to back them up. No tell tale laughing and snickering from the peanut galary. No car in front of them they can go look at. No way to get any sort of proof.
So then this guy comes in making completely outrageous claims. I challenged him about these claims because on the internet, there are tons of people who don't know what's what, are just getting started, or are just looking for more ideas. They don't have to be part of the group. They don't have to post anything. It's like the good old boys were broadcasting their dribble all around the world for anyone who wanted to could listen in on the conversation. Except they don't know who is telling the truth, who is exagerating, and who is flat out lying.
Dr. Buddha has done both exagerate and flat out lied. But refuses to fess up or provide any proof of his bold and (to knowledgable people) obviously false claims. But to the newbies, they wouldn't know whether to believe him or not. I mean, if he says he did it, and no one said otherwise, it must be true, right?
And that is why I chose to make the comments I did. Not because I have anything personal against Dr. Buddha (I don't), but because I don't want someone else reading what he wrote and believing that crock of lies, exagerations, and not even half truths.

I have this posted in the regional section.
I'm working on trying to get together a caravan of people from northern California going down for the Motorsport event leaving the Sac/Stockton area about 7:00 AM on friday (April 23rd) and picking up people along the way.
The route will be down I-5.
Bay Area and Modesto people can meet up @ the Westly rest stop, San Jose and central valley (Merced, Turlock, etc ) people can meet up @ the 152 junction etc.
If we pull into the Orange area mid afternoon we will have time to "rest up" or clean our cars before the Friday nite festivities.
I know it seems early, but it will be upon us before we realize.
If interested holler back
