Want to remove

Im looking to simplify my car as much as i can. Just looking for hints or maybe another post that can show me how to remove my ac system. And if possiable my power steering. I have an 87 auto. Gll i believe with the climate control. Thank you

Decided not to remove power steering looks like a lot of work. But i cant get it to swivel in to remove the belt.

removing it will just complicate things if you dont know what your doing.

Also, to be LEGAL, you have to properly evacuate R12 systems, which costs $$$ to be done by your local a/c shop.

Well how do i take the belt off either way cause i have to put a new alternator belt on

Don't take offense to this statement, but if you don't know how to take off an a/c or alternator belt, I suggest taking the car to a mechanic to do the work.

But, if you do feel so inclined to do the work yourself, buy a FSM / Haynes repair manual.

cut them in half. then all you have to do is figure how to replace the ones you need.

I got everything off except the bolt. I just dont know if theres a bolt i cant find or if its hard to get to cause it wont swing in. I have a haynes manual and it says theres a centering bolt somewhere. Cant find it. Let you know how i make out today
