Value for an 84 Turbo 50th anniversary edition

Hey I'm looking at a 1984 300zx Turbo 50th Anniversary Edition. It's an original owner car with 95k original miles. The car looks to be in really good condition. The person is asking 12k for it, which I think is a little high. What would be a fair price for the car? Also, what should I look for mechanically, and structurally, when I'm checking out the car? Thanks.

first look at the web and learn how to identify a real anniversary edition. lots of fakes running around.12K a lot more than I would pay. If it was really cherry i might consider 5K. you can get a twin turbo z32 in nice shape for 12K easy. rust under the rear rug. when ws the timing belt changed. look under see how many curbs the owner ran over.

I'll go a second on the $5k if it really is in nice condition.
