Unplugging the fan on the injectors

My question is whether it's ok to unplug the injectors fan....and if so, how??

I posted a few years back about a fan on the injectors.... see here if curious about the detailed discussion and conclusions (https://www.zdriver.com/forums/300zx-z31-forums-8/fan-engine-stopped-working-40498/). The original post was about the injector fans, which is what others claimed to call them. One of the responses in the previous post, was saying the injectors fan doesn't go on until it's too hot and shouldn't be. Well the car does have overheating issues, so that's likely the case.

I had put the car in storage for awhile because I needed to, and have now pulled it back out. But haven't fixed the overheating issues yet (have tried a bunch with no success yet).

The problem I'm having is the fan is still going on after I drive it longer distances or harder (up hills), and staying on for like 15 minutes after I shut off the car. It's been fine like that for a bit, but now it's draining the battery enough where I then leave the car a few days and can't start it. And now it's getting worse and nearly every time I start the car. So I either need to fix the overheating issue that is likely causing the fan to go on in the first place, or disconnect the fan until I get the overheating fixed. I checked at the auto parts store and all electrical and battery checks out fine.

Also, I did try to pull the fuse, but nothing happened. I'm guessing that was not the fuse for the fan, and likely there isn't a fuse for it.

Found a few other posts that weren't helpful, but this one is a little:

Sounds like lots of back ad forth about whether they're even useful or not. And my car isn't showing overheating on the temp guage at the moment, it only does when I drive it hard or up hills in the summer. But does it only go on when it overheats??? Why is it now, in the winter, and not really hard driving to cause it to go on....like 15 miles on the freeway will do it. Anyone an expert on these fans??

I was a tech at datsun dealer when they came out , originally installed only on southern state cars ,likely port installation, customers complained they drove to those states and they should have them too ,and Nissan did
Definately needed mostly in summer season ,ever been to Dallas in july? So yeah disconnect okay , in cooler times . the dealer was doing a brisk business selling the fan to all car owners down there to make hot starts easy

The overheating issue was caused by the radiator. I replaced the radiator and there are no more overheating issues. And the fan on the injectors doesn't turn on anymore!

The electrical ended up acting up way more after this post, and had to replace the battery after tests showed it bad. Everything was good after that. So looks like the battery was just on verge of going out, but was testing fine before it finally did. Probably didn't help the car being in storage. Next time, when in doubt after storage, just replace the battery.

Hopefully this post will help someone who's having an overheating issue and wondering about that fan!
