track car

I may be getting a z32 in the near future and i may be using my z31 as a track car. What kind of things can be removed from the car to reduce the weight?

Stereo, AC, ect

Was that rhetorical since you answered your own question? I would think you could figure that one out yourself.... remove things that aren't required to make the car run.

That depends on the conditions the car will be put in....

Is this for 1/4 only? Auto-X / Course races? HP of car? Top speed?

You'll most likely be required to run a roll cage with the road racing. Thats going to add quite a bit of weight. So you should consider removing whatever you can to make for that weight gain. Thats if you're entering competitively. If it's just for fun and this is your daily driver then you might want to consider leaving some of the finer things in the car. I really regretted pulling the A/C this past summer

If i turn my z31 into a track car it will be after i buy a z32. Im planning on pulling out the stereo/speaker/ac/antenna/headlights (be replaced with headlight covers with a layer of black vinyl over it for looks). all the interior moldings, carpet. thats all i can think of so far.

what you should do is get the rulebooks for the classes you want to race in and use those to determine what needs to be added and what not. Some classes require you to keep certain things on your car. It all depends. You can download class requirments free in PDF format from the SCCA site.

gut it. anything that doesnt keep the car moving goes in the trash. then slap in a roll cage. yank the stock fuel tank and put in a fuel cell. but if you dont want to trailer it everywhere, make sure you look into what is required to keep it minimally street legal.
