Initionally I used rear view mirror adhesive - which lasted as long as a snowball in hell. Used some two part epoxy I had sitting around and they have been attached ever since.

Yea, that 2-part epoxy will hold anything together. That's what I would've used.

JB Weld Rocks!!
I used that to seal up the plastic top to the radiator of my old Stanza! Good stuff!
I used it to stop a leak on an old Oldsmobile too. Antifreeze was leaking straight through the intake manifold! Damn POS GM sand cast parts!
