Short Shifter Purchase Advice

Hello all. I've recently purchased a 1986 Z31 NA as my first car.
Getting to the point, I've been scouring the multiple forums and fan sites and most of them seem to point me towards the OBX Short Shifter (for an S13/240SX.) With that being said, I've looked everywhere I could and gone through countless pages and searches to find an OBX Short Shifter and it seems as if they've just dissapeared. If any of you all know where to purchase them, would you point me in the right direction please?

I would suggest a B&M short shifter, but since you have the N/A, and not the Turbo Borg Warner, I can't suggest it at all.

I don't know what you were looking to accomplish as far as short throw shifts with 160hp..

Well it seems like I won't be getting much power or performance out of my NA but I've read that it can still improve the feel of shifting.

It does tremendously, and I would ONLY recommend the B&M.

Short shifter

Better solution (and cheaper) is to take out your oem shifter, take it to a pro welder and ask him to remove 2 or more inches from the oem shaft. He will weld the threaded shaft end back to the top, you get the **** height you want - and it will cost a lot less than the aftermarket shifters. I tried them. They are all too long and real expensive. Figure out how much lower you want the **** and get a welder.

ANYWAY. while we're talking about short shifters. is there one that will work with the turbo trans???? this thing is sooooooooo freaking long and such a big throw. :/ its my drift car project. and I need a short shifter. OR I'm gonna have to custom fab one up.
