has anybody had any experience with the msa short throw shift kit im thinking of buying one for my 78 280z with the 4 spd man

 

I had one in my 70 240 and it was sweet. I am putting one in my 78. I will tell you this, it takes a little getting use to. You tend to pull to hard on the shifts, but asfter you get use to it you will never go back to stock.

ya i just put it on this weekend it is very sweet the 2nd to 3rd shift is a little tight and balky but otherwise it rocks

 

I just reworked my shift **** and made it where it would screw in deeper(all the way down).
That cut the shift throw a good amount and I didn't have to buy a kit.
