today i found out that my reverse lights aren't working im not sure why but only the middle light works should i change the fuse or the light bulb and could it be due to wiring? and how many lights are supposed to come on when in reverse? i never really paid attention. any advise would help.

i know but i was thinking lights cause if one of the 3 work then it must be the other two lights that work but then again i wasn't really sure that i had 3 lights when i reversed, do i?

 

Where is the one that currently lights up?
I would imagine that there are only 2 reverse lights, but I could be wrong.

 

what my friend said was"in the middle" so im not sure my self im going to go check and also it's my little light thing that notified me of the problem

also, there is a reverse switch thats connect to the tranny by 2 bullet plugs. you can check those while your at it. well thats the style plug on the S30/s130 so id imagine it be the same/similare in the Z31

 

ok well i guess all the lights work. but im still not sure why the light on the dash says that there is something wrong with the lights on the rear.

 

All the lights work? Tail lights to me means the running lights that are red. Brake lights - brighter red lights.
I don't think it has one for the reverse lights, maybe that is a part of the tail lights. But they all work now??

from my personal experence the check engine light only comes on if the engine gernades or some one for got to un plug the regular maitence box bahind the dash.

check your licence lights, hit the light a little when theyre on see if the flicker
