remember that mustang?

You guys remember that 02 stang that wanted to race me?
well i had Saturday detention today, and guess who did too.

Yup, he was there. After he gave me a ride to my car and i realized his mustang is AUTOMATIC.

He let me get in and start up my car then he let me pull up next to him and hes like smoke the tires, so i dropped the clutch and left him in a cloud of smoke.

He tried to race me back home and i basically whipped up on him pretty bad, although traffic was a factor.

im happy now. haha

don't you have an NA? What kind of mustang is this? If it's a muff-stain (V6)....they suck even in 5spd form, I wouldn't think that you'd ahve anythign to worry about.

Yea, I've never been in a z31 NA, but I would think that you could beat most V6 mustangs. I've driven a few. In HS, my buddy had a V6 mustang that had just about every bolt on possible, my civic still hung with him (I hated that thing). He now has a turbo 2.5RS...nice car.

V6 Mustangs are are not that formidable of an opponent. Hell, I don't really think that most V8 Mustangs are that fast. I love wiping out old 5-oh's in my 280ZX, it really pisses them off. Every now and then, one of them takes me out, but it's usually a modded car or a specialty car (i.e. Saleen). Congrats on showing him what's up though. Has to feel pretty good for you.

Rod.

Not most...all. I have a Z31 NA with a k&N cold air intake with pacesetter headers and an APC racing muffler, and there isn't a V6 mustang that I've gone against that has even came close to beating me. That's not worth bragging though because they weren't even a challenge. It's pitiful that Ford would even think of putting a V6 in a Mustang.

since my step dad does vinyl stickers now im probably going to have him make me about 4 inch long decals in the shapes of all the cars i race and beat and put them on my door. Kinda like what fighter pilots do on their planes

how true, the only mustangs i ever liked were the old ones like the 67 GT or the Mach III and the such, now generally every time you see a mustang its driven by some teenage-early 20's daddys girl.

Brings me to another funny point, the kid with the Mustang that i raced...
Got the car from grandma...haha

I would not say all v6 mustangs are slow. I've seen one that I wouldn't want to race. It was twin turbo'd and was a full fledge drag car. I would agree with Rod, I hate mustangs. They're so overrated cars! Only boosted ones have been fast. My rommate has an 02 GT and it's still butt slow.
