Noob has a question about z31 motors
ok, motors come in the cars. not the cars in the motors. Z31's came SOHC. which is single cam, but since it's a v-engine, there are two cam shafts. but it's called a single cam.
Z31's came single turbo, or naturally aspirated. Z32's however came DOHC N/A or twin turbo.

Kaspar, read this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Nissan_engines
Then you will (hopefully) be all knowledgeable about Nissan motors.

single overhead cam... since theres two heads you get two cams, but still only ONE over each in the 84-89 300zx and an optional single turbo setup. the 90-96 Z32 had a TT version and ALL the motors were dual over head cam (2 cams per head)
but you can make your z31 twin turbo but some custom manifolds...is it worth it prob not because going a bigger turbo is pretty much the best option. before you ask NO the heads will not swap over from z31 to z32.
