Need Some Advice Before Purchasing a 1984 Aniv. 300ZX
I am looking to purchase a 1984 300zx 50th anniversary and the vehicle is out of state. I don’t know if I will be able to fly out to see the car and I was wondering if anyone knew of a reliable car inspection service that they could recommend. Or are the worth it? I know nothing can replace me seeing the vehicle but I guess what would be the next best thing to that?
Also how can you tell if the car has had its odometer rolled back? I ran a carfax report but it stated on there that the mileage was exempt from being reported. However, there were only 2 entries for the mileage on the report. One when the car was first purchased and ther other was back in 1997 . I’m guessing since it older and in different states that is not required?
Other question is what should I be looking for when inspecting the car?
Thanks in advance for any advice and tips.

I don’t know of any businesses that do vehicle inspections for out-of-state potential buyers. Ask a Nissan dealership in the city where the seller lives if they can do it.
Odometer rollback? Besides Carfax, ask the seller if he has any shop maintenance receipts. The odometer mileage and date will be printed on it. Also, the mileage should be printed on the car’s title as of his purchase date. Don’t know how else you can check for odometer roll back.
