I'm gunna take a wild stab in the dark and say that coolant cools the MOTOR. Oil does too, but it takes longer for oil to absorb & give off heat.

thats the thing about problems, they never give you any problems until they start giving you problems .

ok also i've been thinking may it be my valve cover gaskets cause they are kind of leaky. cause if a head gasket could make the temp rise couldn't two valve cover gaskets?

Dude, shut up. zcar has some knowledgeable people who have helped me with problems in the past. Jesus, just bust out the factory service manual and do work. Or pay hoov to do it cause you're only making matters worse.

It looks like I've been away for FAR TOO LONG. This thread has some extreme comedy in it.

All I can say is, "WOW!"

depends on who is doing it.... i have this incredibly overwhelming feeling that if you do it, its not going to go back together right nor run ever again..... any one want to wager on how many valves get smashed?

Dude, get a friend who knows about cars because I don't think you should be doing this alone.

As sad as it sounds I think your only options are to sell the car and buy one that runs or your going to get screwed for repair costs. Open up the FSM and play with it, I'm a n00b too but thats how I fix everything.
