I have an 87 turbo 2 seater and am in mid automatic to manual swap. I'm trying to use a born warner t5 and a driveshaft from an 86 2 seater. I have the Trans bolted up but the cross member doesn't seem to line up with any of the holes given underneath and the driveshaft doesn't reach the diff. What am I doing wrong here?? What do I need to make this work?

 

Are you using the auto trans or T5 mount? Have you tried swapping them? Flipping it around?

Interchange

All Z31 transmissions are completely interchangeable. They have no problems bolting up to the motor. One problem is they don't always mount to the body correctly. You may have to drill and tap new holes for the transmission mount.
