intro, and what can i still get?
coming over from the audi world, got my 87 for 1500 and now i cant let it go.

im trying to figure out where i stand, and i know the search function works
where i stand-
heads- i would like to revalve them with some higher heat ferrara's, havent found them yet. replace all wearable components( push rods, guides etc.) and have the head flow bench ported by a friend of mine
bottom- id like to keep the 9:1 CR. i know the turbo is 7.8:1, but i have higher hopes( my last a4 ran 23 psi at 9.5:1 CR, surely i can run 10-15) forged rods, and i did find scat h beams cheap. pistons im not worried about, plenty of custom piston manufacturers unless there is a recommended one.
manifolds and any other plumbing will all be tig'd up by me
ill run an intercooler, a large flat one! i was really excited by the excessive extra space up front.
GOOD coilover recommendation.....bilstein equivelant. ive never heard of one of these companies except for kyb, and i want my bilsteins. also who still sells the front control arms to clean up that front camber? or is that a hack job at home
again, i know i can search, but im not looking for supporting products, more internal parts. id like to do some more math but an hx35 with new housing looks to be my winner. im looking more for those who have pushed timing and heat so i can get an idea of capacity before i start buying things up. what hp will head lift occur...etc.....any help is much appreciated
