Fuel Gauge not working properly
Just curious if anyone else has had this problem and can steer me in the right direction. With a full tank the gauge reads around 7/8ths , maybe 9/10ths of a tank (a noticable ammount below full anyway). After using up 1/3 of my fuel the gauge reads zero. Through this third of a tank of gas the gauge goes down at a regular pace. Doesn't bother me much because I use the trip odometer to meter my fuel but its sure scared the hell out of a few of my friends when we're a bit away from the nearest gas station and they notice I'm on E. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Sending unit as mentioned.
You can try the cleaning proceedure on Bum's page but for most it will only work for a little while. replacement units can be found at nissanparts.cc and in the $50-$60 range. The proceedure to remove and replace is simple.
Relieve pressure by removing fuel filler cap.
Lift carper and foam in rear area.
Round plate with 6 10mm bolts - remove
After opening that up you will see the wires run over to a connector to your right...disconnect.
Pull wires through plate.
grab top of sending unit and pull upwards. Dont fight it too much...wiggling may help break it free.
Lifft unit up and let drain before pulling rest of way out.
Insert new unit and reverse removal process.
