found 88 shiro after being outside for 14yrs!!
ok so when i was 7 yrs old my father passed away from cancer. but before that he had a z that he loved, he was also working on it prior to him being diagnosed.. any way my mother gave it to her sisters husband to hold onto till i became of age to drive.... long story short i havent seen the car in at least 10 years and has been outside for about 13-14 yrs..... i finally found the car after looking for 5yrs and its rough but not as bad as i thought..... my dad had the head off and the rest of the block is still mounted.......the head has been sealed inside the car and the block has been kinda uncovered theres no plastic or anything over the block but the body was its only protection....... i want to fix this car because it was my dads and thats what he would have wanted and because its a shiro and only 1002 of them were made.. heres some pics of the car.... can anyone give me some insight on what i need to do to the motor? it would really help

Call a local shop and see how much it would be to dip and hone your block. Possibly resurface your crank and check out your bearings. Really dont know whats on the inside of that oil pan to you pull it. To dip my engine, bore it 20 with new freeze plugs was like 250. Like they said pull the engine. start taking it apart and check the bottom end to see if water or anything found its way through the engine.

LOL ya, funny, I hate pics up side down, I'd recommend viewing them 1st, on say Photo shop, or some viewer, re-size if needed and then post. Grats on the car, if that's a Shiro then its a cool rarer model. Sad that it was left outside to rot, who ever did your Dad the "favor" should be chastised. Good luck on the restoration, looks like you have a lot of time and $$ to spend to get it back in running order. Any Idea why the motor was apart ? Was your dad modding it or was it broken ?

no it ran perfectly fine before he took it apart... im pretty sure he was modding it..... but everything stock is still there... but i just got word that they have a totaled N/A that still runns good.... could i just use the higher comp block from that and bolt the turbo head on it?? and could i use the N/A engine harness? are they the same as the turbos?....... and sorry i didnt take the pics

The heads are the same for turbo and NA models. Just bolt the motor mounts, lower intake manifold, plenum with accessories, and driver's exhaust manifold with turbo to the NA motor and call it a day.
That car needs a serious cleaning.
