my friend works at a Hyuandai in Tampa. Middle of last month, they clunked the Shiro. Here are some pics and the vin# also. Someone want to check it with the registry?

there may be hope, the dealers down here never got paid by the government! so they are selling all of the cars for what they paid for them! (cash only though)

 

they go to salvages too. they take what they want and then crush em. it doesnt look bad. the oly way it would be ok is if the frame is rusted to hell, but even then, part it.

Even with the revised gas milage standards (which lowers all the older ratings) the turbo Z in both 5-speed (left) and auto (right) averages better than 17. The Shiro doesn't even qualify for the Cash for Clunkers program. That dealer is doing some shady business.

a non turbo Z31 might be be too bad to get $4500 for but any turbo Z should be at least resold for parts.

why couldn't you trade someone for another "clunker" and just use that car? or is there a certain period it has to be registered under your name?
