Exhaust Condensation
Ok everyone, i have yet another question. Im getting a lot of condensation in my exhaust...to the point where i find small puddles of water under my exhaust pipes. Its not a lot mind you, just drips and wat not. I also find that there is a lot of whispy white smoke coming out of my tail pipe. Im thinking a blown head gasket, and that the white smoke is a sign of leaking coolant. But if the head gasket was blown wouldn't my oil be all creamy and white-ish? My oil is still clean, the car runs fine (except the timings off). All i smell from the fumes is a little excess gas, not too sweet smelling or watever.
Wat do you guys think?

You don't say how long you drove it or when the water is formed.
Condensation is common after start up and for the first few minutes of driving. If you take many short trips, the water will accumulate in the exhaust. And that's what leads to rusted out pipes.
If you live close to work or school or wherever you drive your car a lot, it's a good idea to at least once a week to take it for a long drive (at least 20 miles). And do it at freeway speeds. Idling in traffic also contributes to this problem.

Well at the moment the car has no plates..so it pretty much sits in my driveway. I've driven it around the block everyday now for the past 3 days or so, but this usually doesn't last longer than 5 minutes.
I guess the condensation can be coming from anywhere. My biggest concern is the white smoke coming out of my tail pipes. Normally white smoke is a sign of a coolant being burnt but it doesn't smell like it, and im not losing any coolant. Could it possibly be caused by the condensation in the exhaust pipes?
Also im down to 6 litres of gas in this car, and this is the gas i bought the car with, so god only knows how long its been there. Theres probably a lot of condensation in the tank and odds r theres a lot of water mixing in with the fuel thats being combusted in the cylinders. Do you guys think this could be the cause of the white fumes? For that matter..does anyone think this can be the cause of my lumpy idle?
