Hi guys im trying to figure out whats goin on with my 84 turbo AE. One day my battery started slowly draining and eventually died and it would run as if it was barely sparking really bogging down and such. Figured this was my alternator so I took her in to the shop and it tested out fine. Got the alternator back in but now have no idea what I should check next! When I connect a new battery or jumpers she runs cherry, but as soon as I disconnect them she dies instantly. Please help im a noob haha thanks

 

check your battery cables for corrosion on both ends both cables. If you have the one size fit all clamp on terminals get new cables fairly cheap
