Exclamation Crazy highbeam problem!!!!

I recently bought a 1985 2 seater manual non turbo z31. The highbeams do not work at all. when the headlights are on, and the highbeam switch is pushed or pulled, it just turns off the headlights and the lights continuously flip up and down. Other then that all else seems to work. Iv done my research and could this be the switch? Iv looked at all the fuses by the driver foot panel and non are blown. Do the highbeams have their own fuse seperate from the headlights? if so where is it located? Thanks in advance any help is appreciated

Could be switch or could be something else. I had/have a similar problem. From the beginning when I pulled the switch to put the headlights on bright it would cause one to go out and the other to stay on. Every time I pulled the switch the headlights would switch between which one stayed on and which one went off. Replaced the switch recently and that problem is still there.
