Clicking sound above Glovebox / behind Dash

Hey everyone,

my 1985 Z31 Turbo has an annoying clicking sound coming from behind the Dashboard, approximately above glovebox. The clicking is only there when the car is in complete stand with engine runnning. As soon as the car starts rolling (even without throttle) it will fade out. It also stops when I put the turn-signal. Did someone ever had this before? I understand it is most likely some broken relay, but which? Turn-Signal? I would be thankful if anyone has a hint or knows what it is and how to get there without taking the whole dash apart.

Thanks and kind regards,

DG

I took mine out!

Not very difficult..it took a while to localize it..It was a few years ago..I do not recall if I had to remove the glove box or not...but either way,
I recall it was easier than I thought. Probably one screw holding it in place and one plug to unhook.

You need it for the auto air to cycle right , but yea the noise if you clean the blades and oil the bearings it can get much better
