Boost Controlling
If you have an adjustable wastegate arm, you can do it that way too (threaded linkage). It's a slight nightmare to get to it in the Z31. That's why it's a lot easier to install a boost controller (electronic is 1000000% better than manual), so you can adjust it whenever you want. EBC's are much more accurate, control boost spikes, and can be adjusted from the cockpit while driving.
The only stupid question is a stupid question not asked. Overall Im not fully familiar with the whole system and functionality of the z31 that's why it brings me to this site. So i can establish the same professionality such as ya self in this particular generation. For example when i was stationed in Japan i owned a 1997 nissan skyline stock and for adjustment to the boost could be done by a simple twist of one screw that was inside a electronical looking box. That's stock. So i figured maybe it could be the same situation here being the manufactorer is Nissan.

heres a piece of advice for ya... research your question on the internet in other area first. something like a boost controller can easily be answered anywhere wih a few clicks. if your still confused and its a tough question, ask the gurus. personally i think these forums are for head scratching problems...
