I have just replaced the backup switch on a 1988 300zx 5 speed manual transmission. The switch was tested manually before being installed into the housing and worked fine. Once installed it no longer activates the backup lights. I fear it is something internal in the transmission itself. Would appreciate any advice and guidance. Thanks in advance.
