84zxt has 3 connector nipples on turbo, how to install manual controller
SubscribeMy 84zxt has a connection on the waste gate actuator one on the body of the turbo and finally one at the exit of the turbo. All 3 are connected by a T connection. When I install my manual boost controller do I have to use all 3 connection nipples or just the wastegate actuator to turbo exit connection. If so what do I do with the nipple on the turbo housing?? Thank you in advance
so basically leave the 2 connections on the turbo connected? what do you mean by the take off point, sorry im a little confused because i saw the picture attached but its missing the other nipple on the turbo.

Many turbochargers have dual output feed ports on the compressor housing to give more accurate pressure. AFAIK, all the 280zx T3's and Z31 T3's / T25's have the dual lines connected together then feeding to the wastegate. All you do is install the boost controller between the incoming wastegate line, then add a new line from the mbc to wastegauge. Simple as that.Originally Posted by Juanz31

confusion arises when you don't really understand what you are doing. study up on boost controllers, turbo charging and waste gates. when you understand the principals it is a very simple solution.

Just to be sure you're question is answered and no blowing up occurs, here's what yous will look like:

Just as a word of caution, be very careful when turning up any MBC and particularly the cheaper bleeder types like in that picture. On the $15 cheapo I had, 3 clicks was the difference between stock boost and 18psi. Also, bleeders will tend to spike, meaning if you want to run 10 psi, boost will shoot up to 12 or 15 then drop back down. bottom line, be careful, go one click at a time, and when you can upgrade to a ball/spring type. Good luck with the car!
