84 50th ae turbo z31 won't start, tachometer whacked out
Hello guys! I am thinking of purchasing a 50th ae turbo z31. But there is a problem, it doesn't start... He said that the tach would scramble around and ended up at zero after evving funny and stalling (Digital Tach). He said sometimes it would starts and others it wouldn't. When it would, it supposedly went into limp mode. I just want to know what is wrong, how to fix it, and is it worth it for 2200? (The body is perfect)

Welcome to ZDriver!
A picture is worth a thousand words.
An engine needs 3 things to start (if mechanically sound):
-Proper air
-Proper fuel
-Proper spark
Check those things first, along w/ ecu diagnostic codes.

No clue without seeing it...
The CAS is just an optical pickup. Unless someone dropped it, smacked it, or the wiring is messed up, I doubt it's the CAS.
Start with the basics. Jumping to the extreme possibilities usually leads to needlessly spending lots of money for no solution.
