1986 300zx GLL radio harness help
Hello everyone,
So I order a radio harness from Ebay to install an aftermarket stereo. It come with two harness, one that is 10 pins and another that is 6 pins. I took out my passenger seat and see that the harness for the amp is a 10 pins. I took out my stock stereo and also have a 10 pins connector. I can plug the 10 pins harness into ether the stereo plug or the amp plug. But the 6 pins harness will not fit either one of them. According to information I got from this site, I am supposed to plug one harness into the amp plug and another to the stock stereo plug. So did I order the wrong harness kit? Was I supposed to get two 10 pins harness kit? All help are greatly appreciated.
I looked online and every harness kit I see are 10 pins and 6 pins. I'm just lost as I don't know how I am going to get it to work on my 300zx.

to give a short answer, pay somebody to install this for you.
The long answer, and the correct way to do this, would be to consult your FSM for a wiring diagram for the radio and what ever else is there as far as a plug, the FSM not only has a good bit of info on what type of plugs are in your car, but also how the read the diagrams, what all the little pictures mean, and much more. Trace the plug, and pin it to the radio, old skool. new school, would be to repin what ever plug fits the radio and piggy back it.
