serious?

a coilover is a shock/strut that is mounted to a spring using an adjustable body that keeps the shock and spring positionally the same while allowing for height adjustments. Usually the coilover has a pretty well matched set of springs/shocks. The spring rate in coilovers is usually pretty harsh compared to regular springs (and even eibach or similar replacements). Coilovers are under one name like Tein, K-sport, Cusco, JIC, and HKS. Bilstien, tokico,KYB,Mcpherson are shocks, struts makers. Eibach, Tein, and HKS make springs too.
