Front Pads Crystalized but with a lot of pad life left
For the last two to three weeks my front brakes have been giving me the indication that they needed to be replaced. Squeeling had become an familar sound when braking. So I did what anyone else would have done. I went to the NAPA parts store and purchased the Semi-Metlic pads and on Saturday had them install along with having the front rotors turned because during braking my front end developed the shakes.
To my surprise, The pads looked to be as thick as the ones I was having installed and since I had the rotors turned (they had developed lips on the top) it was no need to have the old pads put back on,besides that would not have been to bright.
So my question here is why did my brake crystalize over and how can this sort of thing be prevented with the new pad I just installed? Also, the new pads are squeeling now as well
