Unhappy Awful brake squealing (pads aren't worn either!)

Hi guys,
86 NA Z31 5 speed, I changed the front brake pads last summer and they were fine, no noise, no pulling etc. This summer after taking it back out it was fine then about a week ago the front passanger side brakes started to make a horrible metal on metal squealing noise. I figured the pads were worn and it was the clip so I pulled the tire and checked the pads and they were almost brand new still (as they should be seeing as they only have about a months worth of driving on them). I depressed the brakes and then took the pressure off and had my father spin the rotor, no hanging up on the caliper. I sprayed the hell out of everything with brake cleaner and took measurements on the rotor, no low spots and they seemed to be straight (no warping though I'm sure the naked eye couldn't really tell). The noise would begin when I hit the brakes and even once I took my foot of the brake pedal the noise would persist until I started accelerating again. Today I was driving home from work and the noise started to happen even without the brakes depressed. I'm honestly at a loss, the bearing in that side is brand new, the pads are almost brand new, the rotors are in good shape and the caliper seems to be working fine. What could be causing this noise? I know that the strut is bad on that side because when you push that corner of the car down it is clunky and I plan on replacing the suspension all the way around (once I get the cash), would this have anything to do with it? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

I will check that thank you for your suggestion! It's just so weird to me I wouldn't be surprised if it was something like that

Do you use your parking brake? I would suspect sticking calipers.

I just had the same thing happen to me actually. It was my rear brakes however, i eneded up having a brake pad fall of and in between the rotor and the dust sheild. But I still had the noise, got new rotors and the noise is gone. However there is a bad seal on the brake caliper. Could it be that you had brake fluid leaking. (Not sure if it would have to do with the problem just had the exact thing happen is all)
