Projectors

anyone ever looked into converting the headlights to projectors, so you wouldnt have to put them up ever? i think it would look pretty good with some headlight covers. is this feasible? not something i'm looking to do anytime soon, but it would make an interesting project someday.

I've thought about doing something like the C5R for a Z31... I like the center driving lights even more than the set projector lights.

Huh.... seems pretty cool
I take it they take a up a large amount of space?
Would that be the reason they are hard mount in vehicles not made for them?
or is it something to do with the way they work?

projector headlights shine the light through a lense that focuses the light, making it brighter, and the pattern is more crisp and defined. the reason they would be difficuilt to mount is that they are a completely different style of headlight than came on the z31. some fabbing would be needed to get them in there.

i am thinking of making a trip to the junkyard and see what i can find. either that, or getting projector kit for another car and hacking the hell out of it. i would want two projectors for each headlight enclosure, one for lows and one for highs.
