my 86 had a factory alarm on it... i was wondering if the wires going to the locks inside the door panel were sensors or was it offered with power locks. if it is power locks where would the lock buttons be located.

im having a compustar two way alarm installed next month and i dont wanna have to pay out the *** for the alarm shop to install the lock acuators... ne ideas...?

 

my 87 has factory door lock actuators, but its more then likely just a sensor to disarm the lock when the key is turned..

a lock actuator is about $20 and takes all of 30 minutes to install. you only need one in the driver's door. the passenger door lock activates (or it should anyway) off the driver's side.
