newer style front end

Hey what parts would be needed to switch an 84 to an 87-89 front end? (Besides the obvious panels)

An 87-89 hood, 87-89 head light assemblies, and an 87-89 front bumper cover.

no you don't need the fenders, that will make you Z look funny. because the 84-86 fenders are different shaped than the 87-89.

87-89 are more rounded, 84-86 have a crease on the flare

right. almost

1984-85 are creased. 1986 has the flared round fenders but with the more boxy front bumper.

But it is true you would probably want to keep your stock 1984 fenders.

You could get some 50th rear fender flares to even the look out.
