Head light Covers
Reguarding the headlight covers on Zcarparts.com
Does anyone know if the lights are able to pop up or are they forced to be sleepers?
Check it out

Hmmm...I don't see why not. It looks like the cover will only be attached on three sides, so the lights should be free to move up and down. Personally, I think it would look very cool if the lights were sleepers anyways, especially if you live in a big city.
There's a picture of a Z31 with light covers installed! Here's the link:

Hahahahaaaa....hey CalvinD, I think we said that at about the same time! Cool...
Make all your friends jealous by turning your car into a sleeper!! I think Z's are one of the only cars that can become sleepers legally with minimal modification of factory settings (just pull a small plug). Take advantage of that unique groove in front of your Z31's headlights!!
P.S. The term "sleeper" has at least two meanings in the racing world. One, of course, is what we have been using it for in this case: Z's with headlights that don't flip up so as to give it a sleepy look (kinda resembling a 240SX Silvia from the distance). The second meaning for sleeper is this: a car that looks slow, old, worn, or otherwise not worthy to race anybody this side of the equator, but turns out to be shockingly fast and furious. A Z31 is the ONLY car in the world that can satisfy BOTH meanings of the term "sleeper."

Yeah, I've been searching for projector headlights for my Z since forever! Still have not been able to find any for the '87-'89 models yet...but I'll keep searching. If and when I do install some, I'll be sure to post a picture of how it looks.
