Engine painting

Ok, i painted my engine Black a while back with the intentions of painting the letters Yellow (My car will be all yellow on black). I have the proper paints and everything but now my problem is getting the paint on only the letters. Anyone have any grand ideas on how to go about doing this?

How to clean the engine?
How to paint two different colors?

I'm thinking someone shouldn't be allowed out of the house unsupervised.

Dear lord man! Have you no common sense at all?

next time you do anything like this, paint the yellow first. easier to mask the letters vs, the whole engine.

dont paint your radiator... at least the fins. dont paint the fins!!!! and remember, too much a color just ends up looking like a acid trip. Never had one, but looking at some engines I Think I can figure out what its like.

i dont think you would find a paint that would adhere well to the slick plastic surface of the overflow tank. even if the paint would stick, i think it would flake off quickly. i suggest you not go overboard with the engine painting. too much and it will look like ricey crap. keep it tasteful and clean.

You'll need some flexible paint so it doesn't flake off.

I was just going to repaint things that are black, black, because its kind of faded ect. I think its a fuse box thats right behind the right light near the Radiator fluid containier? id like that to be more "glossy" its pretty dull and worn out. Just things like that, nothing "flashy"

just scuff it then use the flexible paint. make sure to use some denatured alcohol to make the surface really clean and dust free. Paint will stick so well to a scuffed and spotless surface.
