I have an '84 ZX and I was wondering what year it was that had the liscence plate mounted directly under the 300ZX emblem. The emblem is in red, and I can't remember what year it is. The center panel is exactly like mine except for those two features. I would like to see about replacing mine with whatever year that is (not too thrilled about the mixture of decorative text on mine). Any info?

 

Okay... I'm corn-fused... The 84-86 were about the same. The 87-89 also looked alike, but were much different than the 84-86.

Does this look like yours? If so, which part are you not liking?

 

Actually, that is the part that I want to install on my car. Mine has the same shape, but is a opaque white piece of plastic that actually has a light in it that does not work. It has 300ZX letterson it in what appears to be two different types of mailbox lettering. Also has a black strip horizontally through the middle of it. What year is that pic?, and will that fit on my '84?

 

It's an 84. I'm not sure what you have there. Sounds odd.
