Wiring issues after body shop unplugged stuff

I am a new here but not to the Z world, I bought my son a 1979 280zx and he had a small fender bender that needed some body work done. The entire drivers headlight, hood, air filter, radiator and drivers fender crunched. When I picked the car up the guy tells me that he had to unplug the wires under the coil that go to the AC, temp sensor and I guess ?? something that is causing the car to only start in neutral. Any help would be great

There is a Yellow wire, Green with Black stripe, Black wire, Black with white stripe and a Orange wire all coming out of the wiring harness. I have the device attached to the coil bracket, AC compressor Lead wire, wire to the Mass Air system and one that goes to the distributor base.

Right now Temp Gage does not work, car only starts in neutral but does start and runs fine. Everything worked great before we had the work done. He admitted his guys just unplugged everything and did not mark it and did not remember what went where. I have tried to look on the wiring diagrams online but have not found one I can match all this up with.

download the fsm from xenon. blow up the schematics at Kinkos to 11x17 so they are more readable. Just remember on wire colors. L in Japanese denotes a blue wire. I didn't think that the clutch safety switch came out until like 85. our nanny state govt thinks we are all idiots because some 65 year old women claimed she drove thru her garage while stepping on the brake.

Good idea on the blowing up to 11x17, I have the xenon stuff all downloaded but cannot see it like you say. Oh I forgot to say the car is an automatic not manual. Sorry
