Does anyone know if there is a bumper that I could replace in my 280ZX that would stop the windows from rattle every time I close the door when they are in a down position? It sounds like they are about to break every time I close the door.

Additionally, my outside rearview mirros tip down every time I close the doors. They are power, so it is not a big deal to move them back up, but still an annoyance. Is there something inside the mirror assembly that needs replacement/tightening?

Finally, does anyone know a good source for a tan interior rearview mirror? Mine is extremely sunbaked and in need a new one or good condition used one.

 

There are several things that can cause windows to rattle, they might be loose in the frames, small bolts clamp the glass into the frame, be careful don't over tighten. Use loctite on them so they hold position, and possibly add a few dabs of silicon on the screws and glass. The felt can be worn out, and that can be replaced. There is a spring loaded roller that helps hold the window in place, that might have failed.

 

There is a long white plastic piece that goes on the back end of the window it kinda glued to the edge of the window and that piece slide up and down in the window channel and this piece works as a bellow between the window and the channel,to hold the window tight and to fill the gab and slide nicely up and down.
You might lost that piece or it dropped in the bottom of the door!!
