um... they are all the same, so take your pick. If your Z is na then you need to use your stock TBS.

That might cost a lil Extra $$$ but it has the spacer. P79 head intakes need that spacer. and i beleve the N47's need this also. If you don't get this one, you'll end up having to order a spacer from someone like PallNet for 30$

As Fubar stated, you'll need to get a spacer to make the linkage work right. Or you can flip the TB 180 degrees to have the linkage on the left side of the manifold, and use a cable hookup... That's what I will be doing w/ my next setup.

A couple hp... a few lb/ft torque. It doesn't do much if you still have the stock turbo j-pipe.

So the 60mm throttle body will work with the Turbo cars?

Was there a doubt that it wouldn't?

I didn't know if there was something different about the TB on the turbo cars, because of the turbo piping. Or is the Turbo cars TB already 60mm and I'm missing the obvious?

L28 turbo & na throttle bodies are the same size... ~51mm.

To install the TB, you just need to bore the manifold neck to match the TB, and install a spacer. The na car requires the stock 280zx TPS... the turbo model can use the 240sx TPS.

The 60mm TB doesn't do much good unless you upgrade the other parts of the intake plumbing as well...

The 60mm makes your throttle action more sensative... but overall does nothing really. It can work good along with a lot of other mods all put together. Porting all overthe place, larger AFM or MAS conversion or Megasquirt to open up that intake.... big cam, headers, ect. You have to make the engine capable of taking in that extra air

I don't recomend it. The stock one is fine and I like the presice throttle control it offers.

On my turbo car I'm going to increase the size of the intake pipes just a little to match the size of the factory throttle body (with intercooler somewhere in the mix). No need to go larger than that for 12psi

^ I agree. I did that mod and it wasn't worth the time or the small cost. I ended up removing mine and selling it for more then I put into it since I got the TB for free

I learned that if u try and buy and use a 1996 240sx throttle body there usless ! now if u buy a 240sx 89-90 throttle body now your tlaking u will need the spacer and make sure to get your self a high speed dremel..and a tusgston steel " dremel bit " like i did and drill out the " intake port " on your intake manafold..

The 60mm TB will do nothing except a create a slight increase in 'felt' response and can actually DECREASE ACTUAL power/performance if a lot of other upgrades aren't also done to compliment this modification.

Anyone that says differently, hasn't actually tested this on a real chassis dyno.

The butt dyno can lie, the chassis dyno fears no pre-conceptions and is an equal opportunity abuser of people who make wild performance claims for any upgrade that they've never empirically tested.

See electric powered turbos or intake air 'circulators' for the most obvious examples.

At some point, if I can find someone willing to participate, I'd like to have stock 280ZX NA & Turbo's properly tuned and running well, baseline it on the dyno and then swap the 60mm TB on and make comparison dyno runs to prove my point.

I have access to the dyno, just no one with a stock & properly running 280ZX to do the tests on.
