You are correct in that the front pads have more surface area.

The S12 calipers fit on the 280z mounts, & I'm pretty sure they fit on the 280zx mounts (I did manage to fit one on at a junk yard several years ago, but I don't remember which caliper it was). The only issue on the 280zx is that the spindle is shorter, so you will need hub adapters & run other wheels (like the 4 lug honda).

So i see a huge thread about S30 brake upgrades... What works for an S130 without going to adapters and Honduh wheels? I like my 4 lug Rikens just fine..

should be able to find a 4x114.3 to 4x114.3 hub adapter

Still haven't fixed my brakes. so far I dont see anything wrong yet. I know at lest one rotor is really warped. might go borrow $20 and see if I cant get them turned.
