Got my first 1971 240z in San Diego in 1972 for $4,000 from a dealer - one of the only black ones in existance at the time. Been in love with Z's ever since. Got my 5th one - a 81 ZX 2 seater - a few months ago off a ranch in Boise for $1,000. It hadn't been driven in three years, but after another few hundred including a fuel pump, clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder and complete tune up, she's a daily driver again!

I'll bet you got it at San Diego Datsun... "First Datsun dealer in the USA"! My parents bought a brand new 510 wagon and a brand new B210 there on the same day back in like 1975. It was awesome being the only family on the block with two brand new cars. It only lasted a couple months until the neighbors three doors down out did us by buying a brand new AMC Pacer (Yellow with wood paneling) and an AMC Gremlin (chocolate brown). Then they were the talk of the neighborhood (but for not so good reasons).

Rod.

Got my Z about 10 years ago body and interior where okay it just needed a new rug. Engine and Transmission where all rebuilt when i bought it. Car now has 250 thousand miles on it and still runs good. I paid 2000 for it. So far as mods go just K&N air filter, New well used black dash from a turbo 280zx and put in a new system. But im still looking forward for J to send me a pic of the body kit he wants to produce.

Now wait a second, just cause she happens to live in Southern California where dodging crappy drivers is part of drivers training doesn't mean she's a good driver. It just means every one around her was a great driver

I'm just playing. My wife can drive great. She scares the crap out of me sometimes. Plus theres the fact that she doesn't have a cell phone and hates it when people do their makeup in their cars She drives more like a guy would.

best thing I've ever seen was a woman on the freeway driving and putting on her eye liner, she was using the rear view mirror to do that. I'm glad she was in the farthest left lane and we got ahead of her.

I need more Zs in my life.

It was San Diego Datsun! I remember the MAJOR event when the 1st Z showed up in the show room. There were lines formed just to be able to sit in one - there weren't enough to go around so people paid plenty extra just to get one!!
