wheel offset

can anyone please tell me the correct wheel offset for a 79' zx & how far can i go one way or the other. i need to get a new set of wheels b/c the stock ones i have dont work well with the body kit i installed.

factory offset is +10, 14x6 wheels

You can generally run zero offset wheels and be fine or something with +10 or 12. That is not a common aftermarket offset though.

8 inch wide with zero offset will fit under the stock fenders in front. If you want maximum width you can go with 8.5" and +12 or 15 but you should do your own test fit if you're going for max width.

The rear has more room. You can fit 9.5" wide with about the same positive offset.

I'm running FWD type wheels with adaptors to fill up the offset so for the most part I'm running 18x8 zero offset on all four corners and it fits fine.
